A kitchen or bathroom remodel is a dozen trades working in one room in a fixed order. Lakefront Interiors plans and builds all of them as one project: custom cabinet design, countertops, tile, flooring, plumbing, electrical and lighting, painting, appliances and ventilation, and the design work that ties them together. These pages explain each part of the work, what it costs inside a remodel, and what is particular to Chicago homes.
One team
Every trade, planned together and built in order.
The cabinets decide the countertop template. The countertop decides the backsplash. The range decides the hood, the hood decides the duct, and the duct decides whether a soffit stays. Handled by separate contractors, each of those decisions is made by someone who did not make the last one. Handled by one team, they are made once, on paper, before anything is ordered.

We take on complete kitchen and bathroom remodels. If your project is one trade with nothing else changing, a specialist contractor in that trade will usually serve you better and cost less. If the room needs several of the trades below, planning them as one project is what we do.
